From the other side of the planet, a small but heavily armed group of schoolgirls-turned-soldiers comes in search of desperately needed medicine, with a former UN weapons inspector as their local guide. They think they are prepared for anything. On Monster Island they will find that there is something worse even than undeath."
What a great idea, this prize, if for no other reason than to introduce people to other blog-based books, many of which I hadn't heard of. I have read "Words in a French Life" by Kristin Espinasse, which is an absolute delight, the writing, the unique concept, and the author, whose humanity and charm completelly take you in. I learned of it on her blog, French-Word-A-Day.com., where I make valiant attempts to perfect my French.
Great job, Lulu.
